Bora Bora is a small island in the South Pacific, northwest of Tahiti, in French Polynesia. Surrounded by sandy motus (islets) and a turquoise lagoon protected by a coral reef, it is known as a diving destination. The island is also home to luxury resorts, with some overwater bungalows, supported by stilts. In the center of the island, Mount Otemanu is a dormant volcano 727 m high.
